I am usually terrified of visiting the dentist. However, it was not so when I went to see Dr. Kevin Afkami. He is a WONDERFUL dentist. His staff was so VERY nice and reassuring. EVERYTHING was explained to me step by step. NO surprises! I went in with anticipating an extraction. I would rather loose a tooth than have to re-visit a dentist. Dr. Afkami and his staff explained the procedure and the importance of keeping my tooth, in terms that I could understand. He asked if there was anything his staff and he could do to help me with my anxiety, and he LISTENED!!!! He had me relaxed enough to go with a root canal and keep my tooth. During the procedure he talked to me to help keep me at ease. He told me to raise my hand if I had a question or if I was uncomfortable, or just needed a break. He took his time. I NEVER felt like it was rushed or hurried in anyway. He had wonderful "Chair-side Manners". I still have two more visits with his office in the near future to finish the procedure. I am not worried about them or the treatment I will receive. I know his staff and him will take GREAT care of me. ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL DENTIST AND STAFF!!!!! I am so glad that I have now found a dentist for LIFE!!!

I am a dentist's worse nightmare as far as fear of dental work and pain. I have been treated with care and concern. They have even seen me on a moment's notice if I have a complication or problem. Best dentist I have found in the DFW area.

I have always been an "antidentite" since childhood, but Dr Kevin is wonderful! I've had several procedures done and recently I had two really bad teeth removed and the care was great. He is kind, gentle and very concerned about the procedure he is doing. I recommend him to every one that asks for a dentist. Esmerelda and the staff are great too, always there to answer any questions on insurance or setting up appointments. They even call the day after a major procedure to make sure that you are ok, can't ask for better patient service.

Very nice, didn't really need to spend much time with him but he was personable, friendly, and puts you at ease as does the rest of the staff! I was afraid to go to the dentist but they made it seem like a walk in the park, I was pleasently surprised! The billing was taken care of by the office so no headaches for me there! I would recommend this office to anybody, there isn't one person there that doesn't make you feel like family!

About Hygienist: My Hygienist is Natalie and I've seen her a couple of times. She is always very nice, easy to talk to, and puts you at ease. She also makes you feel right at home as does the rest of the staff. I no longer dread going to the dentist, for this I am greatful to the entire staff!

I had 2 wisdom teeth pulled and a filling. Dr. Afkami was very patient and gentle with me. He made sure that I was completely relaxed before proceeding. If I started to get nervous or tense he would stop and give me time to calm down and relax before he would start again. He is the best dentist I have EVER been to, and I plan on continuing to use his services for all my dental needs!!!!

As a public health professional, I take my dental hygiene very seriously, and am very careful when choosing a dentist. I have been with Dr. Afkami for almost two years now, and the care he and his staff offer are unparalleled.

Dr. Afkami is genuinely concerned about his patient. For example, if a crown mold or temporary crown contains a mild flaw, he repeats the process to ensure the highest quality product and service. I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes in the waiting area, and Dr. Afkami always takes the time needed with this patients.

His staff (dental hygienist, assistants, front desk staff, etc) are always very patient, friendly and knowledgeable. I always receive a reminder the day prior to my appointment, and they are always willing to work with me in rescheduling an appointment, if necessary.

Dr. Afkami is by far the best dentist I have ever used. He has a wonderful bedside manner and is always making sure you are comfortable and in no pain. He is very gentle and always smiling when doing your dental work.

His staff is by far superior to any staff I have ever seen in a dentist office or health care facility. Every time I walk in, they greet me by my first name, smile, and ask how I am doing! The dental assistants are sooooooo sweet. I can't say that I have a favorite because they all are just so kind and always smiling. I wish I could bottle up their kindness and just spread it all over the dentistry and medical fields.

The office is very nice, they have comfortable reclining chairs and a personal tv with a remote in each room so you can watch your favorite show while waiting or having your work done. It is just like a spa to me. I always look forward to going and seeing all the staff. I have referred all my family and friends to these guys and swear by them. I don't have a single complaint to make. I can't even come up with one. Their prices are very good, the people are the sweetest, and the office is warm and cozy. I recommend them with the worlds thumbs up. Give em a shot, you won't regret it. Amanda Jacks

About Hygienist: I love the hygienist. She is hilarious, outgoing, sweet, and very gentle. I didn't have any pain with her doing my work and it had been over 3 years since my last cleaning :( She is amazing.

I'm very glad I came to Brookshire instead of other chain dental offices I had consulted with before! So far my visits there have been great, the staff is very organized and professional. It's definitely the best dental experience I have had as an adult.

I was worried at first that the reviews here must be fake since there are so many good ones, but now I know they're not. There are a lot here because they ask patients to review them. :)

This staff is great! I havent had insurance for a few years so needless to say my teeth are in bad shape, however without making me ashamed of it they explained what i need to do to get back on track and are helping me by scheduling my procedures by necessity so i don't over extend my budget. The BEST dental office I have yet to have the pleasure of visiting. The dentisits and staff make this place seem like a family owned business atmosphere with all the high tech amenities that are currently available. Relaxing, painless, and effective. I really liked the aquarium scenery on the florecent lights. I love the availability of appointments. I have been to places in the past that it took months to get in. I have NEVER had a problem.

Just have to mention my dental asst. that has been there almost every time I have had work and kept me calm and felt like I was talking with my best friend.....CHARITY is my dental angel.

About Hygienist: Natalie is so educational and thorough! I love the way my teeth feel after getting them cleaned. I love the products available that she makes sure that I understand how and when to use them and WHY I am using them. What I can do to prevent more issues in the future. In all, she is great!
